Walking Football what’s in a name,
A group of oldies playing the wonderful game,
For me it’s something that’s a bit special,
Not only for the physical side but also the mental,
Meeting and chatting with nice like minded folk,
Even the laughing at the crappiest joke,
Seeing new players come along and join in,
Then they return again and keep on smiling,
Let no one tell you that you are too old,
Just come along meet new people and get into the fold,
Live life to the full and be happy is everyone’s aim,
Just remember what Greavsey used to say, it’s a funny old game…..
